Job Title: Bursar

Details

• In accordance with the Edith establishing the Nigeria Maritime University, Council wishes to commence the process for appointment of a substantive Bursar
• Consequently, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified persons with reputable cognate experience to apply for consideration for the positions.

Duties

• The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the university.

Qualification and Experience

• The University Bursar, who is the head of the Bursary Department, should have a Bachelor of Science Degree or its equivalent in Accountancy qualification. In addition the candidate should possess ACCA or ACA or ACMA, plus 15 (fifteen) years post qualification experience, most of which preferably must be in a University Bursary or similar institution. The candidate must also possess a record of good health.
• He/She must possess adequate leadership experience as well as high degree of competence, integrity and dependability
• Age: The candidate must not be more than 60 years of aged at the time of assumption of office.

Salary Scale
Consolidated Salary Structure (CONUS) 15

Condition of services
The appointment shall be for a single tenure of five (5) years on such terms and condition as may be specified in the letter of appointment. Other allowance and fringe benefits are as applicable in Nigeria University System.
