Job Title: Software Tester

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

• We are looking for a Software Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.
• In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you.
• Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

Responsibilities

• Work with software developers and project support teams
• Identify business requirements
• Monitor applications and software systems
• Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
• Write and execute test scripts
• Run manual and automated tests
• Test in different environments including web and mobile
• Write bug reports
• Provide quality assurance
• Trouble shoot and problem solve
• Design tests to mitigate risk
• Present findings to software development and business user teams
• Analysing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Design and develop automation scripts when needed
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Provide timely solutions
• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Provide support and documentation
• Document analysis
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and of hardware and networks
• Academic Background: B.Eng., in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and other related Engineering fields. B. Sc. Computer Science, MSc. Computer Science would be an added advantage
• Strong programming knowledge
• Basic Knowledge of Database/SQL
• Basic knowledge of Linux Commands
• Knowledge and Hands-On Experience of Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in any defect tracking tool.
• Knowledge and Hands-on experience Automation tool
• Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture.

Additional Information

• This is a 2-year contract with the possibility of full-time employment with the organization based on performance.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000/month.
