Job Title: Software Developer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking for a qualified Front-end, backend, and full-stack Web Developers to join our software development team.
• We expect a passion-driven mixed with entrepreneurial mindset and a tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design.

Responsibilities
Front-end:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices (Agile)
• Create/Render sleek, engaging website layout/user interface by using standard front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or any of the two frameworks, VUEjs or ReactJS. Also adding the interactivity in the individual pages where necessary using vanilla JS or other helper libraries like jQuery (…and its plugins where necessary), Animation libraries like Greensock, etc.
• Integrate / consume data from various back-end web services (RESTful) using your preferred front-end frameworks mentioned above or utilizing existing templating engines like Mustache, Handlebars, etc.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.

Backend:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices (Agile)
• Write RESTful APIs and Object-Oriented web services using PHP or PHP related frameworks (CodeIgniter, Laravel, etc.)
• Collaborate with front-end developers and web designers to improve usability
• Understand the need for security at every level and implement accordingly, access controls (Sessions), and make queries using prepared statements (PDO, MySQLi).
• Able to translate a project requirements and analysis into database schemas; design and implement the schemas and its relations (Indexing/Foreign/Primary keys, etc) , with security and auditing in mind.
• Handle routing of requests and familiar with Regex and .htaccess
• Use tools like POSTMAN to simulate requests.

Requirements

• Past projects you have done. (link or local demo will do).
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Blockchain technologies and other Distributed Ledger related technologies is a plus.
