Job Summary
Provide English creative writing and proofreading expertise for a wide range of proposal and project-related documents.
The content writer will develop and create content for print, digital media, or product descriptions. Including the creation of internal videos and other creative storytelling materials
Well-researched and accurate content will be produced on tight deadlines.
The content writer will communicate with leadership, clients, and potential interview sources.
Ad hoc project management is a key element of this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy
Researching and organizing facts and sources
Interviewing sources
Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies
Building a following for brand on social media with creative work
Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original
Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers
Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)
Collaborate with clients/teams in the development of proposal executive summaries and value propositions
Provide proofreading reviews of proposal and project documents
Help drive team marketing and communications efforts
Deliver ad hoc project management
Ensure new and existing documents are completed in accordance with established guidelines
Edit materials to ensure a consistent voice throughout
Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect and develop content
Core Competence
Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver
Good industry knowledge of oil & gas, banking, financial services among others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative and innovative thinker and planner
Confident in producing work across multiple platforms
Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Bachelor or Master Degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, English, Finance, Engineering or related field preferred
2 years' experience as an English language editor or writer
Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Google Docs
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and clients
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Extensive knowledge of the company, brand, and product preferred
Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
Background in writing/proposal management/sales experience is an advantage
