Riverside Microfinance Bank Limited, a fast growing Microfinance bank in Ado Odo, Ogun State requires the services of a qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Secretary/Legal Adviser

Location: Odo, Ogun

Job Responsibilities

• Keep proper records of the proceedings of the bank and it’s committees.
• Be responsible for the maintenance of statutory records and books with utmost compliance to statutory requirements.
• Issue notices of meetings of the board and its committees.
• Be responsible to the Managing Director and the board.
• Serve as an advisor to the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors on all matters relating to Company Law and corporate governance.
• Provide accurate and timely advice on all legal and regulatory matters of the bank and support on compliance matters.
• Deal with correspondence, collate information and write reports, ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevantstakeholders.
• Ensure that the bank meet its legal responsibilities under the Nigerian law and regulations.
• Represent the bank to ensure efficient handling and resolution of negotiations and disputes.

Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate shall meet the following conditions:

• A Bachelor's degree in Law and Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association.
• Possession of a relevant Postgraduate qualification and membership of appropriate professional bodies with the right certification such as ICSAN will be an added advantage.
• Evidence of proven skills in Microfinance industry and Certification will also be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years post call to bar experience, of which at least 3 years must have been in the financial service industry and at least 2 years at the management level.

Qualities:

• Proficiency in the use of at least basic Microsoft office softwares is key. Such candidate must also possess demonstrable integrity and ability to drive a mission statement for the bank and should have good analytical mind, a sound administrative acumen and a thorough understanding of Mlcrofinance Banking environment.

Age:

• The candidate must not be more than 45 years of age as at the date of this advertisement.

Remuneration
The remuneration package is attractive and negotiable depending on the qualification(s) and experience.
