Get99 is a Lagos-based E-commerce Start-up under the umbrella group, Xgo Technology Limited. Xgo Technology Limited is a Chinese technology company with operations in Lagos, Nigeria. Get99 is an online marketplace dedicated to listing verified products and services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Visual Designer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The Visual Designer will work closely with the Operations team to design visually compelling assets, content and site updates and refreshes for use on our app and website
• The successful applicant must have a strong understanding of graphic design, identity design, and branding.
• This position is a Mid level position with great growth potential in a steadily growing company with a great and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish the look and feel for various interfaces including websites, mobile devices, apps etc.
• Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce our brand’s style
• Create designs that respond beautifully to all devices whilst demonstrating a user-centric approach
• Ensure all digital creative & front-end content produced is on brand, accessible, useable & meets best practice standards
• Ensure designs maximise sales opportunities, engagement and site conversion

Qualifications

• A good First Degree in any field
• 1-3 years creative experience

Required

• Proven experience working in a mid to senior Web Design role within a retail E-Commerce environment with substantial, proven experience in responsive design
• Proven ability to bring original and creative ideas to life
• Good understanding of digital assets (Onsite banner, landing pages and importantly social - organic and paid)
• Exceptional creative and graphic design skills with the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of brand identity ideally in an e-commerce space.
• Competent in the critiquing and analysing creative concepts and copy
• Very good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Good knowledge of HTML and CSS with working experience of HTML email production. Knowledge of JavaScript would be advantageous
• Good understanding of cross browser and email compatibility, SEO, accessibility and usability design for the web
• Pixel perfect attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Applications should include portfolios that showcase a strong selection of responsive, desktop/tablet/mobile landing pages, email campaigns and social banners, site design and creative work.
