Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze mechanical devices for problems
Develop and test devices for improvement
Recommend design changes, cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturing issues
Create and develop new products and concepts; oversee development
Perform and analyzing tests to track results and make improvements
Work with marketing and vendors, providing product specifications for their use
Perform root cause analysis and work towards resolutions
Oversee all required engineering qualification tests on project; ensure compliance with all outside parties involved
Write product specifications, document test results, prepare product operating instructions and review technical literature
Participate in test runs or field installations

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Completion of all Fundamentals of Engineering and Principles and Practice of Engineering tests, administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying
Experience working with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
Experience with mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, LabView)
Superior computer skills; well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly strong with Excel); ProEngineer/Creo
Extensive knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Able to create 2-D or 3-D designs to run simulations, analyze, and tests
Able to provide leadership or mentorship among team members; provide support and encourages collaboration
