Adexen Recruitment Agency - Our client, an International Industrial Company to recruit suitably qualified candidates for their operations in Nigeria in the vacant position below:

Job Title: Technical Director - Expatriate

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

The technical director is responsible for the Production, QA/QC, Maintenance/ Engineering and Health & Safety.
The technical director reports directly to the Managing Director. He is a member of the executive committee.
Stock and production planning: Participate in the S&OP process to make sure that the production planning is aligned with the supply chain demands.
Continuous Improvement process: Maximize the production capacity and flexibility while minimizing the costs.
Performance plan and Follow-up: Develop Systems and processes to monitor and optimize the productivity. Implement and follow measurable performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Monitor operations and corrective actions.
Maintenance : Make sure that the preventive and corrective maintenance plan are coherent, efficient and implemented
Budget: Define and control the yearly budget (Opex and Capex)
Strategic plan: Build a 5 to 10 years strategic plan; build investments plan/project and organization in accordance with the sales forecasts budget.
Quality: Insure the respect of the GLP and GMP rules.
Health & Safety: Develop internal policy to secure the manpower/site/product. Guarantee the compliance with environmental rules.

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum 7 to 10 years in a similar position in an international environment
Management skills: strong team building, decision maker, leadership and communication.
To be closed to his team, on the field, hands on approach
Lean manufacturing culture and cost saving approach.
Highly skilled in production, Quality and safety processes
Familiar with industrial equipment and utilities.
Good knowledge GMP rules, WHO and ICH guidelines.
Skills in industrial project management (building/revamping/ capacity needs…)
Previous experience in emerging markets / Africa / Nigeria is a plus.
