Job Description

• An opportunity exists to join a leading telecommunications service provider in Nigeria, and lead the overall development and execution of the company's business strategies.  Working closely with and advising the board, the incumbent will lead the implementation of comprehensive business plans to achieve the organisation's growth and expansion goals.

Job Responsibilities
Amongst the incumbent’s key responsibilities will be:

• Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
• Provide strategic advice to the board to ensure an accurate view of the market and the company’s positioning and growth
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement of business goals by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated and adhered to at all levels of the organisation
• Communicate and maintain strong relationships with business partners and regulatory authorities
• Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
• Delegate responsibilities to a team of executives and provide guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
• Planning for future solutions to ensure company growth

Requirements

• Relevant Tertiary degree, and MBA/Master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years relevant expereince, with proven experience as CEO, COO, Country MD, or similar strategic leadership position.
• Demonstrable experience in leading the development of strategic business plans
• Thorough understanding of market changes and the effect thereof on the telecommunications sector
• Strong understanding of financial measures of company performance
• Experience in sales would be an added advantage
• Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
