Job Title: Group Head, Finance

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities

The Group Head, Finance will be responsible for ensuring timely provision of relevant and reliable financial information to the various companies: Agro & Telecomm, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction.
The successful candidate will also ensure adequate control systems and processes are in place to secure the assets of the organization and efficiently implement the financial policies/procedures of the Organization in line with generally accepted accounting policies.
Monitor compliance with the Organization cost management practices, credit management policies and procedures.
Monitor the maintenance of fixed assets inventory/register and performance of Annual budget.
Review and endorse capital expenditure requisition for all units within the Organization.
Oversee preparation of comprehensive, proactive and timely financial and management information, including tax, cash flow and statutory accounts.
Provide direction for the proper management reporting on the performance of the Organization.
Design and monitor implementation of systems and controls to ensure compliance with tax and other financial regulatory provisions.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the finance function. Work with Human Resources employees to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department
Establish and implement a training program for new Finance Employees.

Requirements

First Degree or its equivalent in a numerate discipline (Accounting, Finance, Statistics etc.).
MBA or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Professional accounting certification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CISA, ICAN or other relevant higher business degree as an added advantage.
Minimum of 12 years work experience of which 6 should be in a senior management position.
Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or similar role.
Knowledge of Finance methodologies, corporate governance procedures and accounting standards.
Good knowledge and hands on practical experience and use of accounting packages and systems.
Good knowledge of global financial markets, financial accounting, and information management.

Accounting cost
Cumulative Annual Growth Rate (CAGR).
