Job Title: Pre-Sales Project Transmission Planning Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Summary

• The Transmission Planning Engineer will co-ordinate site surveys for proposed microwave links, inclusive of Technical site survey, microwave frequency allocation, interference calculation and analysis.
• This is a vital position to support the projects unit to do planning and providing technical solutions for connecting cell sites at various customer locations.
• This person will be interacting with the Pre-Sales team & Project team very extensively. Robust, flexible and state of the art microwave transmission network planning & delivery tools is of essence in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities
General:

• Ensure regulatory compliance in the use of assigned frequency channels/bandwidth.
• Effectively manage radio licenses to meet customer requirements.
• Report on capacity, inventory and utilization of applicable transmission and carrier Ethernet equipment
• Update MW deployment sheet
• Provide the required support to escalated issues from projects team
• Carry out MW design activities including Link Budgets & Delivery Requests, provide timely input relating to equipment configuration and deployment.

Reporting:

• Provide ad-hoc reports as required.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in the reporting systems where input provided by the Pre-Sales team.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of  3 years of relevant progressive experience
• Relevant experience in planning of transmission networks domain
• Logical decision making abilities
• Flexible and dedicated. Ability to innovate and deliver value to business
• Proven strong organizational and commercial skills
• Strong process orientation; well-structured and well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; Ability to understand and summarize highly complex BOQs.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adjust models in response to business events.
• Ability to manage time and resources effectively, meet deadlines and execute on strategic objectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate both internally with the company and externally with customers
• Self-motivated, high integrity, professionalism, and with the ability to work well with others and eager to be successful, resourceful problem-solver
