Job Title: Gardener

Location: Borno

Job Description

• The purpose of Gardening services is that the whole Guest House and Office premise must look Clean, Hygienic, rich with lush green lawns, gardens and beautiful flowers so as to provide an excellent ambiance of work-environment and at the same time makes the Guest House/Office premises environmental friendly and to make a good impression on the visitors and public who visit here for various purposes.
• The contractor has to undertake all such jobs/activities required to maintain the Guest House and Office premises in a presentable condition at all the times

Duties are BUT not limited to:

• Watering of flowers and plants
• Weeding and tiling of flowers and plants on a continuous basis to prevent the growth of weeds into lawn
• Manuring the plants and flowers
• Trimming flowers, plants, grass around trees, shrubs, cultivated area.
• Cleaning, clearing and sweeping rubbish/refuse within the compound
• Watering of flowers and plants
• Weeding and tiling of flowers and plants
• Manuring the plants and flowers
• Trimming flowers and plants
• Cleaning, clearing and sweeping rubbish/refuse within the compound

Requirements

• Experience as a Gardener
• Able to communicate basically in English & Hausa
• Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
• Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
• Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping
• The ability to lift heavy objects
• The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
• A love of the outdoors and plant life
• A Secondary School Certificate or equivalent
