Emerald Card Solutions Ltd is the company behind Emerald Gift Cards brand. Our aim is to supply payment card solutions to the general public and corporate entities across the nation through the provision of market leading multi-store gift cards and corporate cards that help streamline business processes which involve cash handling. We are currently searching for enthusiastic individuals to work as Independent Sales Agents who would map out potential customers and generate leads for the organization. This role is suitable for the unemployed as well as for people looking to augment their income from another job.

Job Title: Independent Sales Agent

Location: Lagos

Summary of Job Role:

• The Independent Sales Agent is a direct marketing role involving field sales and marketing, in which you will promote the company’s products and services to an audience of both existing and potential customers. It is the job of the independent sales agent to help increase sales by raising the profile of the business, through targeted promotional marketing campaigns and strategies.
• The individual must be a good communicator, have a passion for marketing, be confident, intelligent, smart, creative and innovative.
• The person must also be goal/target oriented, self-driven and able to work under pressure.
• The independent sales agent must be able to promote and sell the organisation’s product to individuals or corporate clients with little or no supervision.
• The person will set up in-person appointments, correspondence & phone contact with individuals and corporate clients.
• Identify new customers & sales opportunities and cultivate a database of qualified leads through cold calls and networking.

Educational Qualification:
OND/ HND/ BSC degree in any field

Requirements & Skills:

• Previous sales experience preferred
• Strong relationship building skills & an entrepreneurial drive required
• Knowledge of the Central Bank’s Cashless Policy
• Basic knowledge of how gift cards work
• Proficiency in the use of emails, microsoft word and excel
• Minimum of 1-3 years sales experience, face to face direct sales and B2B sales
• Cold-calling required
• Be able to achieve targets and meet deadlines
• Ability to effectively reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential
• Exhibit excellent communication skills both written and oral in a professional manner
• Comfortable with electronic payments (POS and online payments)
• Be able to work on own initiative

Compensation:
Compensation package is competitive and largely commission based. You are paid based on the percentage of the sales you make.
