Job Description

• A Locksmith maintains, repairs, and installs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

What will I be doing?

• As a Locksmith, you will maintains, repairs, and installs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.
• Inspects, analyzes dysfunction and repairs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility. Work throughout the facility including shop work and must be able to climb stairs, stoop, grasp tools, visually inspect, and have good finger dexterity in order to repair locks.
• Performs preventive maintenance on electronic locking systems and key encoders to ensure proper   and reliable operation.
• Cuts metal keys, re-pins lock to a master key system, picks locks and repairs or installs various types of mechanical locks in wood or metal doors or on furniture and equipment.
• Produces mechanical and electronic keys and maintains security control of keys. Maintains log of all keys issued and to whom. Interrogates electric locking system as required.
• Ability Multitask in other sections when called upon.

What are we looking for?

• A Locksmith who will maintains, repairs, and installs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.
• Knowledge of mechanical locking devices, Safe-Lock and/or other electronic lock systems including maintenance and repair.
• Basic English language communication skills in order to communicate with customers and co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments.
• Leadership ability.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of who will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and solve customer concerns.
• Ability to act independently while analyzing data and drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials pertaining to the master key system
• Problem solving and prioritizing skills.
