The company is engaged in the manufacture, preparation, Producing, packaging, and distribution of Rice and related products in Nigeria and has a Factory terminal in Wukari, Taraba State. Nigeria.

Job Description

• The position of the factory manager consists of planning, directing, or coordinating the operations of the company.

Tasks

• The Plant Manager’s primary responsibilities include leading the operation and maintenance staff,
• The daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations.
• This is a hands-on position that is responsible for maximising daily production.
• This position plays an integral part in plant operations, special projects, and has responsibility developing and maintaining
• Ensuring safe operation of the rice mill
• Controlling all aspects for rice transfer, handling, parboiling, milling, bulk storage and packing
• Managing stock control & reconciliation and ensures optimal use of machines for quality rice production
• Identifying training needs and develops training plans for the rice plant team
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards.
• Develop and manage the strategies, plans and budgets as agreed with the CEO
• Effectively manage labour requirements/manpower planning, production planning, stock
• management, instrumentation calibration, plant modifications and develop innovative systems and processes utilising all available technology
• It is essential that the manager builds effective working relationships with all staff and support staff to ensure all areas are managed and controlled.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• B.Sc Certificate or any other professional certificates.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to monitor/assess performance of other individuals
• Great analytical skills
• Eye for detail
