Loesche Nigeria's scope of work will include the following activities:

• Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
• Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
• Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
• Preventive maintenance and planning
• Management of required spare parts
• Recruitment, management and training of employees
• Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
• Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate all quality related aspects at the plant site by maintaining quality management systems, quality plans and controls to achieve plant's objectives.
• Represent the Quality Control Manager his during absence.
• Support the Quality Control Manager in achieving key performance indicators in the field of product quality and quality systems.
• Secure the quality of products and their compliance with the standardized and contractual requirements.
• Monitor and control the achievement of quality related targets for the production department.
• Coordinate and supervise quality control methodologies in cooperation with the production department.
• Carry out product quality tests and recommend measures for its improvement.
• Support the laboratory staff and ensure the continuous improvement of its competency.
• Identify specific developmental needs and gaps of the staff.
• Train and develop the staff to provide specific knowledge.
• Guide the daily work and ensure the safety regarding the laboratory activities .
• Communicate decisions and current developments of technical information and those relating to the quality between various actors.
• Perform necessary data analysis in order to improve the established quality system.
• Support the retention of the certification of marketed products and quality systems.
• Continuous reporting to the Quality Control Manager.
• Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines.
  

Requirements

• University degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
• Several years' experience in the cement industry in a position of appropriate responsibility.
• Sound knowledge of quality management systems, cement chemistry and cement microscopy.
• Profound knowledge of product analysis methods.
• Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
• Strategic, organisation and planning skills.
• Confident manner in dealing with laboratory staff.
• Very good communication skills, an outstanding ability to work in a team and a confident manner.
• Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge.
• Business-fluent spoken and written English.
• Further languages skills would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to various national locations.
