Job Description

• Odozi Obodo, the nation's foremost home and city improvement company is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team.
• We specialize in hardwood staircase, solid wood flooring and ceiling, so we need a Carpenter with experience in these fields who loves thinking outside the box and wowing clients.
• The ideal candidate will have his or her own tools and be willing to travel all over Nigeria. Most work is on-site, though we have a facility for pre-fab carpentry when the job calls for it.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work.
• Build wooden stairs with hardwood materials and wrought iron and glass, and other projects based on demand
• Supervise a team of solid wood flooring installers and apprentices.
• Select and evaluate materials for defects.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and jigsaw.
• Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time.

Remuneration

• For the right applicant, we will consider a promotion to Lead Carpenter in six months.
