Job Title: Data Governance Consulting Lead

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The primary objective of the Data Governance Consulting Lead position is to design Data Governance workplan, trainings and operational framework.
• The focus is to improve data governance and data quality through professional advisory on implementation of data governance project, policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.

In addition, the Data Governance Lead position will be responsible for the following:

• Create and implement an enterprise wide Data Governance Framework.
• Create data governance processes and controls.
• Create data governance policies and standards.
• Ensure that new systems and/or applications adhere to data management practices, policies, and procedures.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Understanding of Data Governance technology landscape, processes and design principles
• Understanding of NDPR and other personal data privacy issues
• Data security and analytics
• Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms
• Change management
• Knowledge of Cloud based big data frameworks such as data lake, relational, Graph and other no-SQL databases
• Experience in managing enterprise data assets in both public and private sectors.

Experience:

• Relevant experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management.
• Both public and private sectors experiences will be added advantage.
