Account Officer at Rayuwa Farms Limited

Rayuwa Farms Limited was incorporated on the 2nd of October, 2012. Prior to the incorporation, the farm existed since 1996 on 1.5 hectares of land with skeletal production of catfish table size, fingerlings and soya/groundnut cake.

The scope of the farm continued to broaden with time with other products and services coming on board. Rayuwa Farms Limited is a clear testimony of starting small and growing big. With what started in few hectares of land, the farm now has 50 hectares in Jankawa which is the operational headquarters, 129 hectares in Koya site for cassava cultivation, 31 hectares in Gumza also for cassava and 300 hectares in Kuje for various crops.

Our farm is expected to be a concrete illustration of how to create an enabling environment that would generate appropriate socio-economic, technical and organizational solutions to the challenge of poverty, unemployment and demographic transition for Nigeria in particular and Africa as a whole. We are a member of several associations within the industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Masaka, Nasarawa

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Accountant to prepare Annual Budget and Implementation of Budget Control
• Assist the Senior Accountant to prepare accurate, timely financial reports/statements in accordance with our established schedule
• Update relevant account books, journals and records on a daily basis
• Manage the Farm Asset Register and ensure timely update of the register
• Collecting input data and relevant information from production units and submit same to the Senior Accountant
• Protect the company's value by keeping information confidential.
• Support all internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Support the process of compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
• Carryout other duties as maybe assigned by the Senior Accountant
• Report to the Senior Accountant

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree / HND with 2 - 3 years work experience.
