Phase3 Telecom is West Africa’s largest independent fibre optic infrastructure and telecommunications services provider. With coverage of 6000km and counting, the company is licensed to run its network on Nigeria’s power infrastructure with expansion into the ECOWAS region using its unique Right of Way (RoW).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence & Analytics Officer

Location:
Abuja (FCT)
Job Type: Full Time

Role Summary

  • The Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence and Analytics Officer will, under the supervision of the department head, direct and develop plans to realize Phase 3 business objectives, adapt to change and grow in the business environment. S/he will also gather business and financial data, looking at competitor data and industry trends to improve company's competitiveness compared to other players in the market.
  • S/he will function is to identify and translate market opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve individual, team and company revenue profit target.
  • To support the Sales and Marketing departments in finding new ways to attract new customers, maximize value of existing customers, and retain the most profitable ones. Supporting the campaign target setting process and measuring the impact of campaigns and reporting to senior management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess the company operational and strategic performance and develop plans to materialize strategy and analyze business proposals
  • Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
  • Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions)
  • Construct forecasts and analytical models and educate senior executives in making effective decisions
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends/market changes and research competition to identify threats and opportunities
  • Develop and prepare strategies for Business Intelligence processes and solutions for Phase 3 Telecom and Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions.
  • Supervise the efficient working of all Business Intelligence projects, analyze requirements and perform appropriate tests on same.
  • Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and develop long term strategy for various reporting solutions.
  • Maintain and transform all strategies into operational plans according to business priorities and within budget.
  • Work with process development and resource teams and prepare an appropriate schedule.
  • Business Intelligence-wise, ensure effective implementation of all Information Technology projects to achieve all business objectives.
  • Manage all data for transactional sources and prepare effective reports.
  • Provide support to all business resources/units and monitor all requirements for various value-added services.

Educational Qualification

  • BSc in Finance, Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge in Technology such as SharePoint, SAS, Power BI, MEAN Stack will be very advantageous.

Work Experience:

  • 4 years experience in a financial institution or technology-based firm in the same or similar role of which at least 2 years must have been in market research and business operations.
  • Ability to read code and support applications, reports and processes would be an added advantage.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge in performance tuning, data analysis and integration.
  • Knowledge in investment Analytic tools: FactSet, Bloomberg etc.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
