Svelte Global Company - Our client is a group of company of a global manufacturing conglomerate operating in over 25 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and North & South America.

Our client is one amongst the ambitious greenfield projects of Indorama in Nigeria and is the world’s largest single-train Urea - Fertilizer plant, commissioned in June 2016. The company, a total fertilizer solution provider, is situated on 38 hectares of land in the expansive complex, Eleme, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The Plant has a production capacity of 4000 metric tons (MT) of nitrogenous fertilizers per day or annual production capacity of 1.4 MT. The world-scale plant has been built with an investment of USD 1.5 Billion, a huge Foreign Direct Investment, funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and a consortium of 15 European & African Banks and financial institutions.

The Fertilizer Plant includes 2,300 Metric Tons Per day (MTPD) ammonia plant, 4,000 MTPD Urea granulation plant and associated offsite and utilities. The fertilizer plant is well supported by port terminal at the nearby Onne Port, and a gas pipeline of 83.5KM for gas supply. The construction of the plant commenced in April 2013 and completed in December 2015. The commissioning activities concluded in March 2016 and the commercial production started in June 2016.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues.
• Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health.
• Conduct examinations to ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their condition (Outpatient & Admitted patients).
• Conduct annual medical check-up for all employees.
• Prepare various reports as per company guidelines.
• General administration and other assignments as given by the CMO.
• Training of medical staff and awareness sessions on various health topics to company employees.
• Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
• Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities
• Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration
• Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team
• Examine and provide treatments to injuries and refer patients to other physicians when needed.
• Keep records of patients’ diseases, operations or other significant information
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
• Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum of 5 -10 years proven experience as a Resident Medical Doctor.
• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and valid license to practice the profession, post-graduation in medicine/surgery/emergency medicine/ Occupational Health will be added advantage.
• Training or work experience abroad will be an preferred.
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
• Excellent knowledge of Internal medicine, Traumatology, Infectious disease their symptoms and epidemiology
• Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Respect for patient’s confidentiality
• Good computer skills.
• Compassionate and approachable
