Job Summary

• We require for immediate employment a Chef who will be saddled with the responsibility of managing the kitchen and also preparing meals in a neat, efficient and organized manner.

Job Description

• Prepare awesome meals for our customers.
• Prepare Local Nigerian meals as well as Continental cuisine.
• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to Restaurant standard recipe mapping.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters/waitress.
• Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs
• Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.
• Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff.
• Check food and ingredients for freshness.
• Leadership abilities - Kitchen coordination

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of a WAEC / SSCE.
• The ideal candidate must be well versed in Local Nigerian meals as well as Continental cuisine.
• Must have experience in meal planning and organization.
• Must have experience in Food dressing and presentation.
• Knowledgeable in Food Hygiene and Sanitation.
• Must be neat and presentable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a cook with good customer service
• Experience in local and continental dishes
• Must reside in Gwarinpa and it's environs.
