9mobile is a Nigerian private limited liability company. EMTS acquired a Unified Access Service License from the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2007. The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.
To work with Marcomms team to plan, film and edit in-house video contents for all digital platforms according to briefs and scripts from Marcomms Head.
Responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, assisting in directing other camera operators on set and editing film footage.
Should stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make video contents more marketable.
Principal Functions
Operational:
Plan production for in-house video contents and source the appropriate equipment for execution, including line production documents, treatments, schedule, location, props and gear.
Assist the external production house in planning and directing on set
Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.
Plan the shoot with the creative team and user group
Edit footage in post-production
Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.
Roll tape using digital devices available for in-house productions for our digital platforms
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
Execute other production jobs as briefed by Line Manager
Educational Requirements
Proven work experience as a videographer
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
Creative mind and storytelling skills
Demonstrate ability to shoot with digital devices like iPhone, GoPro etc.
Have relative knowledge of operating Canon, Red and other types of cameras
Experienced in line production
BS degree in Film Studies, Creative Art, Cinematography or related field.
Experience, Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
