About
Pettysave seeks an intern with little experience in backend web development (Node.js). If you're looking to gain exciting real-world software engineering experience at a wonderful company, this role is perfect for you. You will primarily work with the development team to maintain and improve our backend infrastructure for a duration of 6 months. Our product is built with:

• Adonis.js / Node.js (Backend)
• MySQL & Redis (Datastore)
• Github (Code hosting)
• Nuxt.js (Frontend)
• Flutter (Mobile apps)
• AWS (DevOps)

Job Description

• Working with the backend team to maintain and improve our backend infrastructure (Node.js)
• Participate in engineering team sprints
• Work with the backend team to develop code with high-quality unit testing and integration testing
• Improving performance in all components that you design and build
• Adding analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
• Using and developing internal tools and documentation

Preferred Experience

• Have some experience in backend web development
• Knowledge of Node.js and MySQL
• Knowledge of Git and approaches for software development processes that allow delivering high-quality code
• You are able to find pragmatic solutions for today's challenges while allowing the code to be able to fulfil tomorrows changing requirements
• Willingness to learn new programming concepts and apply them practically
• Good communication skills

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of Adonis.js or Nest.js
• Knowledge of Docker
