BA Gladiators Limited - Our client, a 4- Star Hotel located in the heart of Abuja is seeking to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are seeking an Accountant to head their accounting department working closely with other departments, overseeing their activities and reporting directly to the chairman.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage hotel’s overall budget, monitoring expenses and making adjustments where necessary
• Process payroll in a timely manner
• Track all expenses
• Create and present reports on the overall finances of the hotel
• Be aware of all activities going on in the hotel and report anything that is out of the ordinary

Skills and qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
• Proven accounting experience
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry will be desirable
• Ability to analyse financial data, organise it, and present in a clear professional manner
• Good experience with handling Point of Sale systems
• Good attention to detail and must be able to spot the smallest of errors and correct them before they escalate
• Must have an ethical approach to work
• Ability to use Microsoft packages especially Excel
