We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Web Developer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Interface with your team on a daily basis
• Ensure all the company’s website is maintained and updated as and when necessary
• Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML / CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins
• Engage in digital retouching of the site and image editing.
• Design and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites
• Understanding of key website design principles and SEO optimization
• Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline the WordPress development cycle
• Support, extend and/or enhance existing code
• Document technical and functional specifications
• Write clean, well-documented code
• Ability to test and debug websites
• Provide technical consultancy services to project stakeholders
• Create backup files and solve coding problems as they arise from time-to-time
• Work with the graphics department in developing eLearning courses
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• 2+ years and B.Sc. degree in IT or Computer Science in any field with NYSC Completion Certificate
• Good Knowledge of WordPress is an added advantage
• Strong experience with on-page SEO fundamentals
• Experience with e-commerce, preferably WooCommerce for WordPress
• Strong knowledge of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL, Code igniter)
• Experience with JavaScript / jQuery
• Experience with Responsive sites (Bootstrap ideally)
• Familiarity with web standards and usability
• Ability to explain complex technologies clearly to others
• Great communication skills to work with clients and our team
• Ability to solve problems and work independently
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• High attention to detail

Skills and Competence:

• Proficiency in website programming languages such as HTML, C#, CSS, Python, C++, WordPress, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in Graphics design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD and CorelDraw
• Minimum knowledge in content development software (on the job training will be provided)
