Electrical Engineers at an Upstream Oil & Gas Conglomerate

A leading Independent oil exploration and production company in Nigeria requires the services of experienced and dynamic candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

• The ideal candidates must be licensed Electrical Engineer with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the design, development, installation and maintenance of electrical systems and or/components eg, power generation and distribution, systems, motors, control systems and electrical equipment utilized far hydrocarbon production.
• The candidates must be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, work in a team environment, and be able to effectively communicate within and outside the company.
• They must have worked at senior level in a similar position for at least ten (10) years in a reputable E&P Company.

Qualifications and Required Competencies

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree or HND in Electrical Engineering from accredited University / Polytechnics with a minimum of Second Class Upper division. A master’s degree in any of the relevant Engineering disciplines will be an added advantage
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in an E&P company
• Must be a licensed professional engineer
• Experience in relevant and required electrical software
• Must have knowledge of applicable codes related 3:0 electrical / electronic engineering
• Proficient in design and calculation software
• Must be very analytical and capable delivering results
• Must be capable of working with multi-functional teams in project execution.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience:

• Monitor and ensure efficient performance of the electrical and electronic systems
• Carry out In-depth analyses of problems and identify long term solutions and/or remedial options
• Ensuring electrical systems, installations and operations meet and conform to standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps
• Provide electrical and production installation support with maintenance, planning, delivery and troubleshooting activities
• Provide technical, engineering support and guidance to offshore/on-site teams regarding Installation and maintenance of electrical systems
• Ensure activities comply with relevant industry and company codes and standards
• Responsible for maintaining electrical equipment and the preparation of specifications for the purchase of electrical equipment and materials.
