Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Locations: Lagos

Job Summary
This role entails designing, building and automating highly scalable systems used by millions every day, and working with the most up-to-date technologies to deliver real change. A team player who can lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for configuring and using DevOps tooling such as Artifactory, Fortify, Snyk, Sonarqube and ELK stack
• Responsible for creating Infrastructure-As-Code using Terraform
• Evaluate and recommend 3rd-party solutions
• Produce design documentation to match customer requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ year’s work experience working in high-performing teams, delivering innovative technical solutions, applications and services
• A Java / Linux / windows / oracle background is highly desirable
• Build and As-Built Architectural documentation
• Detailed Configuration and Build Control Procedure
• Agile Delivery
• Telecoms domain knowledge
• Script & Code Repository management
• Remote Execution
• Code Standardization
• Script/Framework Version Control
• Support for all Application Protocols
• Virtualization.

Who we are looking for:

• Senior engineer with experience working in high-performing teams, delivering innovative technical solutions, applications and services
• Candidates with Java / Linux / windows / oracle background
• Experience in training. Mentoring and quality-checking the work of junior DevOps Engineers
• Deep level of experience using containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or Open Shift
• Experience in creating and maintaining automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins
• Experience in managing the Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience in designing, building and managing APIs
• Able to learn new technologies and tools quickly has the drive and the confidence to challenge the status quo and demonstrates a pragmatic and collaborative attitude that will help to develop the skills of junior members of the team
• Minimum of 3 years work experience

Desired Skills:

• Track record producing robust, industry-leading solutions. Strong integration experience including third-party .net components
• Background in Java / Linux / windows / oracle environment
• Good knowledge of oracle environment
• Knowledge of industry-leading Analytics, Business Intelligence, Customer Intelligence and data management tools
• Familiar with automated testing, code quality tools, and continuous integration
• Experience with an Agile or hybrid approach to development & project management software
• Working at a client site in Lagos, Nigeria.
