Job Details

• Our client is a start-up logistics company seeking to hire a dispatch rider.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient delivery to the company’s customers and also ensure that the assigned motorcycle is used for authorized assignments and is in good working condition always.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Receives instruction from Logistics Supervisor about where and when to collect consignment and the destination address for dispatch
• The rider signs for the package on the collection and gets an appropriate person to sign for the delivery
• Follows laid down delivery plans and follows the most efficient routes
• Updates app with such information as items received and delivered for easy tracking
• Performs routine maintenance on the bike such as monitoring fluid levels and replenishing fuel

Requirements

• He must be a secondary school leaving certificate holder
• He must possess a valid rider’s permit
• Must be a skilled rider with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a dispatch rider
• Able to read and write
• Able to communicate in English
• Able to operate an android phone
• Attention to details
• Conversant with road networks and able to read and follow maps
• Must be physically fit
• Personable and courteous
• Willing to work weekends, evenings and Holidays
