About the Role:

• Moove is looking for an experienced leader with strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial attitude to be the Strategy and Planning Manager, reporting to the Group COO. As a proven result-driven person, the Strategy and Planning Manager will be working alongside business leaders across all functions and serves as the key point-of-contact in the areas of business performance and strategic insights.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the automotive finance, fleet leasing management, or car rental industry and a proven track record in developing territories, implementing successful growth strategies, and leading teams. The Strategy and Planning Manager will be prepared to help shape and bring to life our vision and desire to empower thousands of mobility entrepreneurs across Africa.
• In this role, you will dig deep into developing and directing the strategic and long-range goals of the organization so as to make the organization more efficient and productive. If you've got excellent presentation skills, some big ideas, and an uncanny knack for strategic planning, this is the role for you!

The Opportunity:

• We are looking for a Strategy and Planning Manager who will manage all strategic projects, tasks, and deliverables within our Business units and also be a representative and ambassador for the team across the company as well as to external stakeholders. The ideal candidate for the role will be someone who is a business expert, and who has deep knowledge of product development, strategy formulation, and execution.

Responsibilities
What you will Be Doing:

• Work side by side with the COO to design and implement organizational processes
• Support the thinking around strategy and product development
• Drive and lead strategic projects and programs that will involve cross-functional collaboration across groups to drive decisions on strategically significant issues
• Develop process management procedures and systems to drive efficiencies within the business
• Devise strategies that enable the company to expand rapidly across SSA markets
• Use insights and perspectives from the team to inform important business decisions to aid the growth of the business
• Collaborate with Local and Central Operations teams to ensure that insights inform broader critical initiatives.

Requirements
What You will need for this position:

• 5+ years of experience in business strategy, consulting, investment banking, or business operations in a high-growth technology startup
• MBA in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• Strong quantitative skills
• Strong proficiency in data & analytics
• Solid presentation and story-telling skills
• Experience in organizational design and translating operating model strategy to execution Experience in mobility or Fintech is a plus.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and across multiple countries in SSA
• Experience in lean process development, fleet mgt., inventory control and logistics management is an advantage
• Critical thinking - the ability to solve complex and unstructured real-world problems with data.
