Workshop Supervisor at Sinoma Cargo International Nigeria Limited

Sinoma Cargo International Nigeria Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary invested by Sinoma Cargo in Nigeria, founded in June 2016, located in Nigeria, Lagos. Sinoma Cargo is the first branch set up in West Africa in the process of implementing a globalization strategy.

Currently, Sinoma Cargo has obtained the clearance qualification and provides overseas warehousing and distribution services, equipped with 40 normal trailers and 10 tow-beds, Sinoma Cargo Nigeria can deliver general cargoes, heavy lifts, oversized goods, and a self-owned custom house broker has been set up as well. There are 12 Chinese employees and 100 native employees at present.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Workshop Supervisor

Location: Obajana, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Job Functions

• Ensuring all the staff members in the workshop are completing work in a safe and efficient manner in line with company standards
• Schedule and plan vehicle & plant scheduled maintenance and testing, ensuring a twelve month projected programme, and all on-going repair work.
• Responsible for organisation,save guiding,control and optimum utilizationof plant, materials and ancillary resources within the workshop.
• Prepare and submit estimates for maintenance repair work in accordance with set procedures.
• Ensure that maintenance and repair work meets standard requirements and professional standards are continually deployed in the workshop and that all Transport Services policies and objectives are met
• Responsible for the effective and efficient management, organisation and control of the workshop and all associated plant and equipment
• Know and optimise the level and value of stock holding and ensure that the potential for incurring obsolete stock is minimised
• Ensure that all workshop plant, equipment and tools are subject to regular inspections so they are safe and legally compliant
