Petrocarbon Engineering Limited, a UK based company with branch office in Nigeria is seeking for candidates to train on Offshore & Subsea Engineering Software (OrcaFlex).
OrcaFlex is a powerful analysis tool used in top Oil & Gas companies like: Shell, Total, Chevron, Addax, ExxonMobil, Technip, Saipem, etc. This Offshore & Subsea/Naval engineering software training will make you proficient in doing subsea pipe design and analysis, floating platform hydrodynamics, mooring lines and riser static and dynamic analysis, amongst other very important offshore marine system analysis. OrcaFlex is the world's leading package developed by Orcina for the dynamic analysis of offshore marine systems.
Petrocarbon Engineering Limited is an independent firm established in 1997 to provide Offshore & Subsea project design and analysis services to the oil and gas industry. Our training and manpower development branch was created in response to the demand for capacity building and higher technical competency in the oil and gas industry.
Following the Nigerian Local Content requirements for oil and gas training to be done indigenously, Petrocarbon Engineering Limited is providing this software training service in Nigeria for fast and accurate analysis of catenary systems such as flexible risers and umbilical cables under wave and current loads and externally imposed motions.
OFFSHORE & SUBSEA ENGINEERING SOFTWARE (ORCAFLEX) TRAINING - SEPTEMBER 2014 SESSION
BENEFITS OF THE TRAINING
For Fresh Graduate Trainees:
Companies are looking for young graduates that can actually DO Something, so the question is what can you do? your degree / certificate may not be enough to get you a job and you obviously know that the trainee positions are very very competitive in Nigeria.
For Experienced Graduate Trainees:
Your proficiency in this software will increase your employability to a better job in top Oil & Gas companies and give you an edge ahead of your colleagues.
After the training you will be well equipped with the relevant technical and software skills that are core requirements for any Subsea/offshore Engineering Analyst. You will also be proficient in the Orcaflex software and have a fundamental knowledge of subsea engineering and naval architecture
ABOUT THE TRAINING
This training gives a comprehensive understanding of how to use the OrcaFlex software for model design and dynamic analysis of offshore marine and subsea systems. Delegates will learn how to model different types of risers, mooring lines and flexibles and how to analyse for fatigue damage and vortex induced vibration (VIV).
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- An introduction to the Orcaflex software with simple model designs.
- Review industry level OrcaFlex model examples.
- How to use the OrcaFlex software to model risers, umbilicals and mooring lines.
- Understanding of the methods for running fatigue and VIV analysis with OrcaFlex.
OUR TRAINERS
Our trainers are practising engineers with years of both research and industry experience in the offshore industry. All course notes are professionally produced and we take on board feedback and continually invest in our courses, ensuring up-to-date course content.
REQUIREMENTS
Because of the high technical content of the software algorithm, we are seeking candidates with at least: BEng, BSc or HND in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics (any technical or mathematical qualification).
