Job Summary
Communications Managers are in charge of overseeing all internal and external communications for a company, work to boost a brand's image through consistent messaging and strategy.
They do everything from oversee the development of brand collateral to developing internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
The communication manager will be saddled with the responsibility of creating informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our company’s brand, products, and services.
The ideal candidate is expected to be a self-motivated, excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and skills to produce high-quality content that engages customers and builds brand recognition.
Responsibilities
Manage the church communications and ensure programme milestones related to communications are achieved on time.
Ensure the Church Communications department is up to date with the latest trends and technology that would aid the department in working efficiently.
Manage the public relations arm of the organization and ensure that its reputation is upheld.
Will be responsible for working with our high-profile agencies and managing the end-to-end delivery of events, campaigns and associated projects to ensure that activities meet the church’s objectives.
Define key performance indicators for each communications channel which will indicate a campaign's level of success and determine strategic communications campaigns that will help further organizational goals.
Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization's brand, including white papers, website copy, and more.
Responsible for budget management, recording all relevant financial information accurately and prepare detailed media activity reports.
Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all branding materials.
Responsible for building solid internal and third-party agency relationships, collaborating with them to ensure work is approved, compliant and delivered to the required expectations.
Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising or relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
Additional professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experienced with content management systems, tracking mechanisms and analytics software.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide ranging communication strategies including all forms of media
Strong management and leadership skills
proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
Up to date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve
Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
