Job Title: Sales and Operations Manager (Logistics)

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop business plan and strategic vision for the divisions
• Implement business plan to grow the business
• Sell the different logistics offers to new and existing clients.
• Manage the sales and operation of the logistic company.
• Manage a team of Logistics employees
• Initiate market for new business opportunities
• Oversee Operations and Sales/marketing departments
• Review current processes for continuous improvement and quality assurance
• Ascertain industry/logistics best practices to identify new and/or unique programs to grow the logistics company
• Manages the supply of logistics-related activities from the sales to the operation.
• Consults with assigned clients to understand their distribution networks and determines the logistics resources required to support equipment, safety, personnel and maintenance.
• Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
• Manage on-going partner relationships
• Root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations
• Serve as liaison with all internal and external partners for daily operational activities
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree in any Logistics related discipline.
• At least 7 years’ experience in managing logistics and shipping operations
• Professional certifications in purchasing or transportation and logistics is an added advantage.
• Sales and operations experience in logistics is a plus.
• Great leadership skill
• Good personality and exceptional written and verbal communications skills
• Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Must be ready to resume immediately.
