Job Title: Restaurant Steward

Location: Yaba, Lagos.

Job Description

• We're looking to hire Stewards to work as a part of a Food Production Team.
• This role performs various order fulfillment and kitchen tasks such as plating (dishing) & sealing cooked meals, assisting chefs during prep, receiving procurement, and general cleaning& hygiene maintenance.

Responsibilities
Plating (Order Fulfillment):

• Maintain hygienic and safe food handling procedures, and plating guidelines set by the company, while dishing (plating) cooked food in preparation for delivery
• Verify food orders and confirm that they are correct before dishing
• Adhere to effective quality control procedures outlined by the company, to ensure all dished meals are properly sealed before dispatch.
• Operate sealing machines
• Assist in tracking inventory of all items used at the plating & sealing stations

Kitchen Assistance:

• Wash & cut produce or protein as needed
• Weighs out produce or protein to exact requirements
• Assist in receiving produce delivered to the food production center
• Ensure all produce delivered is properly weighed, accounted for, cleaned, and stored
• Support all inventory management, store cleaning, and arrangement activities
• Clean and sanitize food packaging, prep, and receiving areas of the food production centre as needed
• Provide general support as needed to ensure smooth food production process at all times.

Requirements

• High attention to detail
• Food & health safety training (provided by Eden)
• Food handler's test (provided by Eden)
• Availability to work overtime and extended hours as required by production schedule
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
• High ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, and action oriented are fundamental imperatives
• Genuine interest and passion for food, and growth in the food industry

Salary
N50,000 - N60,000 / Month.
