Job Title: Facility Manager
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
We are looking for experienced Facility management personnel to help maintain our school’s facilities. Your duties will also include technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency day to day running of the school.
Plan, direct, coordinate and estimate budget for a single facility and hiring personnel.
Oversee procurement, maintenance, and upgrade of the facility as required.
Establish and administer policies and procedures for events.
Coordinate and manage activities and events with other departments.
Ensure facilities meet the needs of multiple individual projects and coordinate with IT staff for technological needs.
Monitor facility usage, operations, and equipment maintenance.
Prepare and implement an annual budget for the school.
Update and maintain usage records and invoice clients accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of equipment functioning status and other systems within the building.
Develop scheduled regular evaluation of facilities.
Participate in the development of policies and procedures affecting usage supplies and facilities.
Ensure all equipment and other facilities are functioning well.
Develop monitoring systems or programs in institutions to detect problems in the initial stage.
Initiate interventions to solve electrical, technical, and other related issues.
Develop and execute a system for regular cleaning, repair, and maintenance of facilities.
Overseeing and agreeing on contracts and providers for services including security, parking, and cleaning.
Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds, and security
Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water, and electrical appliances are well-maintained
Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
Drafting reports and making written recommendations.
B.Sc. in Estate Management, Building Technology, Engineering or any relevant field
Candidates must be Tech savvy.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facility Management
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
Familiar with the use of CMMS
Good Reporting skill
Good analytical/critical thinking
Excellent communication skills in written and verbal
Excellent leadership skills
Proficient in MS Office
Outstanding organizational skills
Attention to detail.
