Tomato Jos is a private equity-backed, fast-growing, for-profit, social enterprise located in Kaduna, Nigeria, that believes in the power of local production for local consumption. Our company aims to supply 10% of the processed tomato market in Nigeria within the next 5 years. We source tomatoes from smallholder farmers within our network and make high-quality branded consumer products for Nigeria and West Africa. We currently operate a 500Ha commercial farm and run a successful smallholder program with over 500 farmers. In 2020, the company built a tomato processing facility and we will conduct our first production run in Q1/Q2 2021, to launch our first retail packaged product later this year.

Job Title: Grant Data Collector
Location: Kaduna

Roles and Responsibilities
Participate actively in the project implementation with the project team by providing technical support and checking quality.
Harness, adapt, and roll out tools and technological innovations for collecting and analyzing data
Generate program monitoring, reporting, and information management plans
Pioneer the development, review, and utilization of data collection, monitoring, and reporting tools
Participate actively in the enforcement of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Quality Improvement (QI) measures for all field Projects
Support fellow team members in capturing and documenting best practices and success stories for learning, reference, and dissemination
Generate program information and dashboards for tracking and depicting progress on programs and strategy implementation against targets and key milestones
Initiate data analysis and action planning meetings with program teams to review data trends and overall project performance
Work with Project teams to ensure that program indicators are tracked through regular field visits
Review all reports to ensure that data provided is reliable and accurate and that target indicators are met and explanations provided where indicators are not met;
Develop and maintain grants management tools, such as funding trackers, reporting calendars, templates, and compliance guideline documents; and ensure the team is aware of these timelines
Support production of donor reports and ensure that reports are of high quality and submitted on time
Support the Program and Operations team in the preparation and follow-up of grants operations meetings, and lead the meetings
Assist in preparations for external monitoring visits, reviews, and audits, and cross-site evaluations and participate as appropriate.
Maintain hard and soft files on Tomato Jos grant portfolio.
Establish and maintain electronic and hard copy files for each grant-funded project to be used for tracking and reporting purposes.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Master or Bachelor's Degree in related fields required.
Demonstrated experience of statistical packages and/ or data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, SMART, STAT 01) and advanced computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases) are a must.
Strong experience in conducting a research study including the entire evaluation cycle, from design and formulation to implementation, analysis, and presentation of results and recommendations;
Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing experience highly preferred
Prior experience working in an NGO or Research Institution
Ability to research, compile, analyses, and interpret data
Fluency in Hausa is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills
Curiosity, critical thinking, and a demonstrated interest to learn
Ability to manage changes and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
