Job Title: Financial Accountant - APM Terminals

Location: Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria

Department
Responsible for ensuring that the financial activities at the terminal are aligned with the overall strategy of APMT and that these yield the best possible financial returns.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to join the global team at APM Terminals and contribute to the success of the organization. The position reports to Accounting Manager.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor transactions and bank account on a regular basis including Bank reconciliations and bank co-ordinations.
• Perform various financial analysis of accounts from time to time as assigned by manager;
• Ensure all advance accounts are analysed on regular basis and kept clean.
• Analyse Expenses on different accounts to provide meaningful analysis for review by the Controller;
• Ensuring proper process for import of material and ensuring complete documentations
• Preparing work papers for audit purposes;
• Coordinating and/or working on special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or the CFO.
• Performing control functions within the group.
• Performing various control checks on various processes in different depts/ units to enhance controls.

Your Profile

• Requires a university degree in Accounting;
• Requires at least five (5) years post graduation experience in Finance department
• Good Analytical Mind & great attention to details.
• Good Computer literacy in Excel and accounting software.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment in order to set priorities.
• Knowledge of import procedures and related activities.
