Job Title: Country Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking for a competent Country Manager, who will strengthen the Revenue Management Department and lead the company through a critical stage of growth.
Strengthen Client’s foothold in south Africa through ongoing outreach to existing and potential customers across Supply and Demand sides
Drive and supply new business opportunities into the sales and partnership pipeline across different industry sector including FMCG, Financial Services, Digital Natives, Agencies etc.
Improve deal velocity through active stakeholder engagement
Develop, foster and manager strong relationships with the four South African Telcos - MTN, Vodacom, CellC and Telkom SA, at local Opco & Group levels, working closely with the EVP GBD to close opportunities and expand our Sub Saharan Africa Telco portfolio
Identify new trends in the media sales business practice and ensure Client remains at the cutting edge with our product and portfolio offering
Build and increase a quantifiable pipeline in South Africa with a focus on Large Enterprise Accounts and their agencies
Conduct research to identify new opportunities for expanding the business scope with new and existing clients
Drive stakeholder engagement and retention across all industry sectors
Maximise lead conversion across CDP, CAPI and Supply Side offerings
Lead the setup and execution of successful advertising campaigns from a portfolio of Client's top brand and agency partners
Work with partners and colleagues to develop best practices and procedures as well as monitor key business metrics
Identify and manage opportunities for Client in South Africa to grow revenue, enhance productivity and further develop our ad platform, tools, and guidelines based on business insights
Create and maintain insightful automated reporting and dashboards to track business and operational KPIs
Leverage data-informed insights to drive new products, extensions, processes and initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams such as Product and Engineering to lead or contribute to large scale strategic projects as well as solve ongoing operational problems at scale
Work closely with Marketing Team to strengthen Client brand / product recognition in South Africa.
Oversee and manage the South African team, business and operations.
Key Competences and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 2:1 preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
12+ years of experience in the business development, or sales/marketing space, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong experience, knowledge of, and good senior level contacts within, one or more of the following sectors - Telco, Agency, Martech, FMCG, FSI
MBA will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical skills, including using data and reports to review performance results, extract insights, and make recommendations for future actions
Right balance between detail oriented and focus on the bigger picture
Ability to present to and liaise with potential partners and clients (plus their agencies) across verticals
Analytical and process-oriented mindset
Comfortable working across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment
Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities
Commercial mindset but comfortable with technology
Able to simplify and explain complex tech solutions to a non-tech audience.
