Job Title: Intern PHP Developer

Location: Lagos

Job Brief

• The qualified candidate is looking to gain experience building intuitive web-centric Product frameworks for sophisticated products.
• They will have a basic working knowledge of cross browser compatibility issues and quickly grasp the company vision to translate that into an actionable plan.

Responsibilities

• Full stack understanding for designing extensible scalable multi- threaded solutions, understanding of resource utilization, logging and debugging these environments.
• Author solid object-oriented designs in PHP and JavaScript with clear, consistent, secure, simple to use interfaces.
• Help drive the definition of the PHP and JavaScript frameworks to support new features and refactor legacy elements.
• Work with product team to design and develop rapid prototypes and mock up components either as proof of concept or to assist in requirements definition.
• Monitor evolving PHP and JavaScript trends and technologies for possible adoption.
• Investigate and leverage 3rd party API’s for use in the product.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once, managing time efficiently to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Contribute to overall architecture discussions due to experience with data models, frameworks, and implementing API’s.
• Implement good secure visual designs and excellent with HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with at least 18 years experience.
• Knowledge and experience with cross-browser compatibility issues
• Good knowledge of PHP; experience with one or more MVC architectures CodeIgniter, Laravel, etc
• Experience or working understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery and AJAX
• Understanding of Node.js and creating RESTful services in Node.js
• Experience with back-end development
• Desire to build and design complex web architectures leveraging object-oriented PHP and java script.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English
• Experience configuring and tweaking Apache, Node, and Nginx server required.
• Experience with NoSQL
