We are looking for an energetic, results-oriented IT Support Specialist to join the team. You must be able to effectively address the process and technology needs of the organization and have experience providing technical support to users by telephone, computer, emails, or in person.
The person in this role possesses strong information technology knowledge and will support the various uses of information technology within the company including basic troubleshooting of Windows/Macbook hardware and software. Essential Functions
Monitors help desk ticketing system and any other additional IT monitoring tools
Configures new laptops, desktops and maintains a gold image
Assists with troubleshooting problems involving laptops, desktops, and network devices
Maintains IT Standard Operating Procedures and Job aids for consistency and accuracy
Maintains Active Directory accounts, setting up new users, disabling expired accounts, which includes archiving old Exchange, SharePoint/Teams, and OneDrive user data
Undertakes small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the team lead
Monitors & installs authorized software to laptops and desktops
Ensures security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops; installs Antivirus software
Reports problems and maintains logs on servers, desktops, and laptops
Records and maintains all purchased software versions and licensing
May prepare documents, meeting materials, and correspondences
Performs basic administrative support duties as required to meet operational objectives,
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
B.Sc. Degree in relevant field
1+ years of experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills are required in order to work successfully with customers and end users in high stress and/or ambiguous situations
Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and work in a team environment
Should be computer savvy and possess some basic knowledge of computer/printer anatomy and operations to include Windows 7 (Upcoming Windows 10), VMWare and peripherals
Working knowledge of the following protocols and applications: Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows Hyper-V, Microsoft Office 2016/2019, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint/Teams, Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Networking technologies – Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, WAN, LAN, Wireless, VPN
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and how to utilize them in a customer facing environment
May occasionally lift and carry boxes of supplies and/or equipment
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization
Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements.
