We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Merchandiser

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Merchandiser ensures that the right amount of goods are available in the store and are being sold at the right price and displays products that are for sale in a creative way that entices customers to purchase more items or products.

Responsibilities

• Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers
• Work closely with department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize sales
• Check for expiry date on displayed merchandise
• Analyze every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colours or styles), ensuring that they reach their full potential
• Closely monitors goods about to expire and takes appropriate action in conjunction with Floor Supervisor/Manager
• Monitor slow sellers and take action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
• Gather information on customers' reactions to products
• Analyze the previous season's sales and report on the current season's lines
• Must appear presentable and friendly at all times.
• Must greet customers politely when attending to them
• Answering customer’s questions, enquiries, suggestions, lending opinions, and providing product information.
• Demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills e.g. communication and people management skills
• Responsible for taking merchandise from the warehouse to the shop floor
• Assisting with upselling of selected items
• Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays as they arise

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification required.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a sales representative.
• Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good communication and people skills.
