Job Summary
The Inventory is at the heart of efficiency in E’sorae Luxury.
The Inventory Supervisor is crucial to support lean production efficiency drive.
Manage flow of inventory in a manner that efficiently manage flow of information to accommodate forecasted demand from Production
Monitor material usage for efficiency and minimize operational wastage
Clear inventory at all times from gluts by raising issues when inventory levels are high; and shortage when inventory levels are low
Oversee stock counting exercises for preciseness and against errors
Responsibilities
Production Planning:
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Work with the head of production to plan usage of materials
Define monthly inventory levels for all materials in custody
Review the Bill of Material templates for all products to develop an understanding of raw material needs per product
Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
Forecast inventory requirements weekly
Review sales forecasts and customer demands to understand the product demands in the market for each season
Plan the procurement process based on the production plan forecast, available raw materials and lead time
Provide inventory data to the accounting department weekly.
Inventory Order Management:
Monitor movement of goods in the inventory stores i.e. receiving and delivering goods from the warehouse
Monitor raw materials in warehouse and finished goods in inventory stores for space management and proper management
Monitor stock levels in raw materials warehouse and finished products stores to ensure efficient inventory management
Evaluate raw materials waste vis-a-via production efficiency and capacity and report to management
Monitor monthly stock usage
Audit and Review:
Prepare report on the flow of raw materials
Ensure Production sign-off on all items received on the ERP
Liaise with Finance and Audit for reconciliation on items in the Inventory
Stock Counting:
Plan for monthly stock counting exercise with Audit
Ensure that inventory count figures is at fingertips at any point
Ensure complete stock accounting of raw materials and finished goods
Health and Safety:
Enforce health and safety precautions for employees working in inventory
Ensure goods are properly stacked to avoid accidents and injury to employees
Ensure that team follows company policies and safety standards
Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
Budgeting and Reporting:
Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
Align with production manager on cost control programs
Analyse budget, continuously control procurement cost; identify
Prepare and maintain regular inventory reports
Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
Evaluate performance and advise accordingly.
Prepare procurement plans and progress reports as required
Assist in measuring and assessing the performance of the company
Establish performance goals for procurement and inventory department.
Derive inventory metrics that can track departmental success.
Monitor and report various metrics used by the department.
Innovation and Process Improvement:
Suggest and support improvement process within the production process
Recommend cost reduction initiatives
Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity
Develop production program and guidelines to support company objectives
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc Degree
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Inventory Management in a similar or related industry
Experience in multi-level warehouse management
Understanding of Production Planning and Inventory Control Procedures
Deep knowledge of production management
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
Must possess the ability to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines
