College of Education Gindiri, Plateau State invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the management position below:

Job Title: Director of Works

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

• Shall be responsible to the Provost for the maintenance of all structures and vehicles; Ensure quality and standard of projects being executed.
• Should be able to receive ideas and translate them into new projects
• Shall ensure cordial relationship between the College and Contractors, Consultants, etc.
• Shall also ensure that all projects are in accordance with specifications.

Requirements

• Candidate should possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree, or HND plus Post Graduate Diploma (PGD), or Master's Degree in Architecture, Civil or Building Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with 14 years cognate experience, and not below the rank of a Deputy Director on CONTEDISS 14 plus a professional registration with a relevant body (COREN).
• Knowledge of ICT shall be an added advantage.
• He/she must not be above 59 years of age.
• He/She should be in the engineering cadre.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

• Salary shall be as applicable in other similar institutions, and entry point shall depend on cognate experience.
• Other fringe benefits shall be as applicable to those of other institutions, or current Government circulars.
• Tenure of office shall be for a period of five (5) years at the first instance and may be renewed thereafter for a second term of five (5) years and more.
