Job Description

• The Chartered accountant is to manage and oversee all the accounting responsibilities.
• The job holder is expected to prepare all the financial reports, handle bank reconciliations, prepare payroll, preparing of budgets, and administer all accounts and budgets for the branch, etc.

Essential Responsibilities
He/she will be expected to:

• Inspect financial records to ensure accuracy and overall legal and regulatory compliance.
• Calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and complete financial tax transactions.
• Balance company budget.
• Look for inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in the budget and make recommendations to management.
• Ensure financial statements are organized and maintained at all times.
• Create regulatory reports for internal auditors.
• Notify management of any non-compliant employee financial practices.
• Present all financial findings to management, i.e. prepare written reports and attend face-to-face meetings for review.
• Reconcile accounts with the general ledger.
• Handle general account queries.
• Preparation of payroll.
• Preparing global report.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Perform general record keeping and accounting duties.
• Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Handle general account queries.
• Keeping of cash books.
• Ensure cash advances are monitored and cleared on a timely basis.
• Issue receipts for all money received by cash, cheque and bank transfer.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager, Managing Director

Qualification and Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 8 - 10 years work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with accounting software a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Accounting skills
• Record keeping skills

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
