Logistics Dispatcher at Dogan's Sugar Limited

Dogan's Sugar Limited is incorporated in July 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria as a European invested company for the will to produce quality sugar products in Nigeria. The company is a subsidiary of Ata Ltd. Co.; Ukraine's biggest and market leader cube sugar manufacturing company with more than %70 market share. Currently, Ata is manufacturing more than 20 different FMCG products in Ukraine with different weights and packaging.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics Dispatcher

Location: Amuwo Odofin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and accurate documentation about all trucks, drivers and truck mates
• Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries or collect shipments and packages
• Dispatching loaded trucks with commodities.
• Monitoring of loaded trucks from loading points to delivery points.
• Ensure that proper and accurate information about dispatching services, updates and operations are properly relayed.
• Dispatch all items at the time where they are supposed to be dispatched
• Ensure that all messages regarding dispatching services are answered and that clients know the information they are needed to be knowledgeable about
• Do follow-ups of all pending transactions and other works that are needed to be done and implemented
• Know proper dispatching scheduling methods to assure the efficiency of transactions being made
• Maintain service invoice records and be sure that correct items are placed in the collection of data
• Maintain the history of clients in a database to make sure that references are available should they be needed in the future
• Coordinate scheduling with the different stakeholders in the dispatching services to be provided
• Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
• Preparing dispatch documents, as well as generating freight bills and invoices.
• Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.
• Reviewing drivers’ logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times.

Requirements

• B.Sc in a related field or Associate Degree in Transportation or Logistics
• 2-3 years of experience as a logistics dispatcher in a similar industry.
• Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.
• Extensive experience in customer services, as well as generating freight bills and invoices.
• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
• Ability to monitor drivers' logs, truck maintenance schedules, and repairs.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
