Responsibilities

• The Manager, Network, Peering and Exchange provides technology and carrier ecosystem thought and knowledge leadership, provides pre and post sales support to the business development and customer support teams on carrier and peering requirements and represents Company relationship management and through leadership with IXPN and all local and global bodies, agencies and societies related to interconnection and peering.
• Represent Company at peering and interconnetion events.
• Interface with existing and prospective networks in the Company interconnection exchange.
• Lead connectivity and exchange partner engagements.
• Develop connectivity pursuit strategies for different market segments.
• Build a plan for interconnections with leading carriers in all geographies as part of our network forecast, prioritised around current and evolving network product requirements, ensuring quality performance and SLA achievement
• Manage the relationship with the Management of the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria.
• Manage relationships with industry bodies such as ISOC, Africa and other regional peering communities, AFRINIC, NGNoG and other global Network Operating Groups, all carriers and ISPs, global Content Delivery Networks.
• Interface with Marketing and Communications to develop ecosystem marketing materials and validate technical inputs from all stakeholders.
• Interface with Business Development for presales activities.
• Work with Business Development Managers in identifying and assessing Company ecosystem benefits to customers.
• Oversee the operations and performance of Company’s interconnection exchange infrastructure and activities.
• Grow the interconnection exchange ecosystem to meet set targets.
• Grow the cross connects in Company to meet set targets.
• Deliver ecosystem KPI reports to management and other relevant parties.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field from a recognised University
• Previous working experience as a Network Manager for 10 years
• Network Infrastructure qualifications 
• Cisco professional-level certifications is a plus
• Relevant Security qualifications
• Experienced VPN solutions
• Data Centre rack management experience.
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• In depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Analytical thinker and problem solver
• Attention to details.
