Job Title: Intermediate Android Developer

Location: Lagos (Remote)

Role

• If building infrastructure for hundreds of businesses in Africa excites you, this role is for you.
• We are looking for an Intermediate Android Developer who will be responsible for Android/Mobile development.

Every day, you will …

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements
You would be great for this role if you have…

• Minimum of 3 years of proven software development experience and Android skills development
• Proven working experience in Android SDK, third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, including shipping Android apps to the Google Play Store
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
