We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Member, Database Management

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• To manage the database to ensure optimal uptime and system integrity.
• To coordinate changes to databases including implementing security measures to safeguard the databases.
• To provide reports to meet business needs

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Database Availability: Ensure all production applications have access to their various databases.
• Backup of all production Databases: Ensure all databases are properly backed up in order to ensure recovery during disaster or crash of any databases.
• Database Capacity Management: Avoid downtime due to database space constraint.
• Database Performance: Ensure that there is good speed in accessing and retrieving data from the database to the various application is very key to the performance of the business.
• Offsite Standby Database: Ensure no data loss in case of a disaster.
• EOD/EOM/EOY processing: Take database backup before and after the CoreApplication EOD process.
• Database security: Ensure there is no unauthorized database access.
• Users Support: Provide adequate support to users and ensure all issues are resolved.
• Database Installation: Install database based on requirement from Job Description of the company Internal 2 vendors.
• Apply patches when provided to avoid vulnerabilities on the databases.
• Participate in all Change process meeting.
• Carry out system tuning, performance monitoring, and database maintenance.
• Generate and develop reports and custom requests for users.
• Assist with application and user support when needed.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with relevant work experience.
