Job Title: IT Audit Officer

Job Description

• Provide Business and IT management with guidance on IT risk management matters, particularly on application and infrastructure security
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
• Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies
• Devise and implement network security policies and procedures
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
• Develop, build & implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, (including for risk assessments).
• Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities, and create counteractive strategies to protect the net
• Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
• Evaluate information general computing controls and provide value added feedback. Test compliance with those controls.
• Expand coverage and efficiencies for audit projects by identifying opportunities for the application of computer supported audit techniques.
• Ultimately be a source for analytics that business units adopt to provide business insights or for continuous auditing
• Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the IT Risk Assessment at the company level under the oversight of the MD
• Troubleshoot security and network problems.
• Conduct audits and reviews of systems, applications & IT processes including system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance etc.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc in Computer Science
• Minimum of 2 - 4years experience performing IT Audit/Control function or related field
• Excellent understanding of multiple technology domains including software development, Windows, database management, networking, and UNIX (preferred).
• Understanding of information security standards, best practices for securing computer systems, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Financial and IT application experience (SAP, QAD, MFGPro, Peoplesoft, and Hyperion)
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
• Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques
• IT Certification (e.g., CISA/CISM/CRISC/CISSP)
• Knowledge of internal auditing standards, responsibilities, code of ethics, and certification
• Knowledge of audit tools
• Awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques
• Excellent communication skills.
